This course walks managers through the full scope of day-to-day apartment management, starting with the structure of the management company and the responsibilities owners expect a manager to fulfill. It then moves into staffing and team development, financial management and reporting, and the operational and marketing skills needed to keep a property well maintained, compliant, and fully leased. Participants leave with a practical toolkit they can apply immediately across every area of residential operations.


For whom this Course: 

New and experienced residential property managers seeking a comprehensive grounding in on-site management, including those pursuing the ARM®  (Accredited Residential Manager) designation.

  • Explain the roles and relationships among the management company, property team, and ownership entity
  • Apply effective recruiting, communication, and team-development practices
  • Build and monitor an operating budget, and interpret common financial reports
  • Develop a maintenance and risk-management plan for a residential property

  • Maintain accurate records and reporting to meet the owner's objectives


Prerequisites:

None; a working knowledge of general property management fundamentals is helpful but not required. For ARM®  refer the designation criteria and requirments
